Debra Hengst is an accomplished professional angler fishing some of the best known tournament trails on the bass fishing scene. Her love of the sport and some natural instincts are what make her a top-level fisherman.

As a born and raised pure Texas lady, Debra has become well known for her catches on some of her favorite bodies of water which are Falcon Lake, Choke Canyon, and Lake Amistad. Over the years, many outdoor writers have sought her out and written about her proven techniques for finding large trophy fish.

Surviving Duo - Debra Hengst and Miss Prissy

 

Meet Miss Prissy. She adopted me in 2007 as she wandered around the gated condo community where I live. I had placed food out for several days and eventually she started trusting me, but not without hesitation.  She would eat and then just put that tail up in the air and walk away swinging that butt never letting me touch her, thus her name “Miss Prissy” was born and then and only then she allowed me to pet her, the bond between us then was cemented.  I was getting ready to fish the Bass Master Central Open on Lake Amistad and upon returning home from practicing there on March 23, 2010 as she and I always did she accompanied me to the mailbox within my gated community, she was hit by a speeding visitor with their car.
